North of Copenhagen - Jægersborg Dyrehave

Dyrehaven, the Deer Garden, is a forest park (formerly royal hunting grounds, hence the little hunting seat) of 11 square kilometres which is home to about 2000 deer. Both the woods and the deer are very well taken care of, and the Garden is a very popular place for picnics in summer. You can walk or ride bicycles in the Garden, or take a horse-drawn carriage, and you are almost guaranteed to see deer up-close when they graze along the paths or cross the roads.

These photos were taken in October 2010.
